Broadcasting with YouTube Live
YouTube offers two ways to broadcast live webinars, Webcam and using a software encoder.
Using YouTube WebCam
YouTube's WebCam feature lets you host your webinar directly from your browser without having to download any software onto your computer. It connects to your computer's webcam and microphone and can broadcast with very little delay.
This is a great way to get started and lets you setup a webinar very easily but WebCam cannot be used to share your computer's screen. If you need to share your screen you'll need to use an encoder as described below.

Using a software encoder (i.e. OBS)
YouTube Live lets you broadcast using desktop software called an encoder.
The encoder take your broadcasts to the next level by letting you share your screen, embed images, web pages and videos and create multiple scenes that you can quickly change between to create a smooth and professional presentation.
We recommended the free Open Broadcaster Software (OBS).
