Broadcasting with YouTube using OBS

YouTube Live lets you broadcast using software that you download onto your computer called an encoder which is a program you download onto your computer.

Encoders take your broadcasts to the next level by letting you share your screen, embed images, web pages and videos and create multiple scenes that you can quickly change between to create a smooth and professional presentation.

We recommended the free and open source Open Broadcaster Software (OBS) but other options like Wirecast work great as well.
