Enable embedded live streams from YouTube
YouTube now requires monetization to be enabled and a linked AdSense account for you to embed a live stream in your website and view it with WP WebinarSystem.
If your attendees see either of these messages when viewing your YouTube Live webinar you will need to make some changes to your YouTube settings which will be explained in this document.
Important: You do not need 1000 subscribers to embed videos on your website.
To set this up please follow these steps:
1. Navigate to the YouTube Features page
Go to https://youtube.com/features and you should see that the 'Monetisation' and 'Enable live streams' options are shown as 'Eligible' but not 'Enabled'
2. Enable Monetisation
Click 'Enable' next to 'Monetisation' and then click on the 'Start' button to start the sign up process.
3. Read and Accept YouTube's terms
Read YouTube's terms and conditions, if you agree complete the checkboxes and click 'I accept'.
4. Create an AdSense account
Click 'Start' again to sign up for an AdSense account. If you already have an AdSense account you can link your account here.
5. Fill in the required information to create a new AdSense account.
6. The final step is to set your Monetization preferences by clicking on the 'Start' button
7. Set your preferences and click 'Save'
