Integrate with ActiveCampaign

You can use your own mailinglist provider with WP WebinarSystem Pro. To integrate ActiveCampaign, first go to the settings page of WP WebinarSystem and click on the ‘Mailinglist providers’ tab.

Here you will be prompt to paste the API key from ActiveCampaign so the webinar plugin can authenticate with your ActiveCampaign account.

To obtain an API Key, log into your ActiveCampaign account and go to the 'my settings' page.

In the left side menu, click on "developer" which will bring you to the page where you can find the credentials you need to make a connection with WP WebinarSystem Pro.

First, copy the generated API Key which is marked within the red box on the example screenshot above. Paste this API key in the field in the WP WebinarSystem settings which says "API Key". After pasting the API key, a new field will appear.

Here you will need to paste the API URL. You can find this one on the same page in ActiveCampaign where you have obtained the API Key. Copy the API URL and paste it in the WP WebinarSystem settings field.

After you have pasted both the API Key and URL, click on "check" to verify if you have the right ActiveCampaign credentials. When you do, click "save changes". When you receive an error icon, then please check if you pasted the key and url in the right fields.

Connect a mailinglist to a webinar

Edit one of your webinars which you would like to connect to ActiveCampaign, and go to the “Mailinglist” tab under your Webinar settings. Simply select 'ActiveCampaign' in the dropdown menu, and all your mailinglists will be shown in the second dropdown menu below the first one.

Select the mailinglist you would like to connect, and your webinar subscribers will be added to your list automatically after registration.

Double opt-in

When people are added to your ActiveCampaign mailinglist, they will go through the same process like normal people who are added to your list. So if you have a double opt-in enabled, then subscribers to your webinar will receive an email to confirm their address before being added.

Revoke access

If you want to disconnect your ActiveCampaign account from the WP WebinarSystem plugin, then go back to the 'settings' page of WP WebinarSystem and click on the ‘Mailinglist provider’ tab again. Select your API key and API URL and delete it. After you have saved the page, your ActiveCampaign account won't be connected with WP WebinarSystem anymore.
